A’IBOM INTERNATIONAL WORSHIP CENTRE TO BE INAUGURATED, 2022

The Akwa Ibom State International Worship Centre is to be inaugurated by the end of 2022, with assurances of being the best its kind upon completion. The state governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, gave the assurance today while inspecting the progress of work at Worship Centre construction site at Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, upon return from official engagements outside the state. Governor Emmanuel expressed satisfaction with the quality of work so far put into the project and described the building as an unprecedented sacred place that will serve as an altar for Akwa Ibom people and generations unborn. “I want to appreciate Julius Berger, what you are seeing here can challenge any engineering of any standard anywhere in the world. ...TASKS NEW SUBEB MEMBERS The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has announced recruitment of 1,000 additional teachers into public primary schools in the State. The Governor announced this during the inauguration of the new State Universal Basic Education Board on Friday, at the Exco Chambers, Government House, Uyo. Governor Emmanuel emphasised that primary education is key to development of any society and expressed confidence in the board members, urging them to live up to expectations of giving primary education a facelift in line with the Completion Agenda. “A lot of people have heard that since last year we’ve been screaming that we are declaring a state of emergency in the education and we are not likely going to finish that in two years, it is something that will span through a minimum of 10 years but we must start the foundation this year.
