PDP Youth Support Group-YRO, Facilitates Voter Registration
…. Over 130 youths who turned 18 registered in 2 days in CRV, PDP e- Registration

The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the PDP Youth Restoration movement,
YRO a Youth support and mobilization group of the party has facilitated the
registration of 194 youths who just turned 18 in the continuous voter
registration CVR exercise.
This was
recorded after two days of massive door to door mobilization and sensitization carried out by
members of the PDP youth mobilization group in the state.
The Youths
who were captured in Etoi and Ikono, Clans of Uyo Local government area were
also enrolled into the PDP in the party’s ongoing e- registration exercise.
Over 73
youths who had found it difficult to carry out the process where assisted to
get registered for membership into the PDP in the ongoing e-registration
exercise.

Leading the
team, the state Coordinator of the PDP youth Restoration organization, YRO,
Comrade Charles Bassey, in an interview with our correspondent stated that the
exercise was being carried out by the group not just as an exercise to position
the Peoples democratic party, PDP for victory ahead of the 2023 general
Election, but as demonstration of patriotism and responsibility of the youths
of the party in encouraging participation of Nigerians in the carrying out
their civic responsibility.
He further
stated that the exercise which began in two communities in Etoi and Ikono Ibom
in Uyo Local Government Area would be taken to all the local Government Areas
of the state and to all wards in the state.
In his words, “You could imagine if we have this replicated in all wards, all LGA's and in all the south south zone and across the country, we'll hold the master key to unlock Nigerians from the chains of the proponents of ‘CHANGE’ locked Nigerians with in 2015.”
While commending the National Coordinator of the Group, Comrade M. J. Barau, for the tremendous support and motivation for the exercise, the Akwa Ibom state Coordinator of the PDP youth mobilization and support group expressed optimism the Nigeria would be restored economically, social and socially when the gates were open for competent, tried and rested brand of PDP leaders would be open in 2023 to carry out the restoration of Nigeria by entrenching of genuine change Nigerians need.* Udom Emmanuel

Comrade also lauded the state Governor and leader of the party, Mr. Udom Emmanuel whom he described as a visionary leader and a great motivator of youths in the state through his inspiring leadership.
He pointed out that the the quality of leadership Udom Emmanuel offered was the kind Nigeria was in search of adding thay their support for his administration would always remain unshaken adding that he had made PDP proud.
The Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) had disclosed that its online Continuous
Voter Registration (CVR) has received 92,845 online applications nationwide
within 48 hours of resumption.
The
Commission disclosed stated that as early as 7 am, on its first day of opening the
registration portal, 114,577 accounts were created by registrants.
They added
that of the 92,845 applications received, 63,437 were for new voter
pre-registration, while 997 of the applications were requests for uncollected
Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says the number of fresh
registrants in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) has
hit 3,899,238.
CBSnewsTrend reports that the breakdown of the pre-registration statistics shows that Osun State has the highest number of online registrants with 453,949, followed by Delta with 297,396 and Bayelsa with 252,534.
The state
with the least online registration was Yobe with 18,600, followed by Abia with
19,308 and Kebbi with 23,758.
The update
also revealed that the number of registrants who have completed online and
physical registration was 1,509,989, made up of 769,359 male and 740,630 female
of which 15,903 were people living with disabilities.
This is a good move !
