Akwa Ibom APC Stalwart, Ndem Ndem Hails Akpabio’s Emergence as Senate President.

A chieftain of APC from Akwa Ibom state, Dr. Ndem Udoudo Ndem, has hailed the emergence of Dr. Godswill Akpabio as the President of the Nigerian Senate and Chairman of the 10^th National Assembly.

Dr. Ndem who was a member of the medical team of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Committee while speaking with journalists shortly after the election of the Former Akwa Ibom state Governor as senate president noted that with Akpabio as the leader of the National assembly, Nigeria would witness a new vista of hope as the national assembly would have a very robust engagement and would carry out legislative business in the interest of Nigerians and Nigeria.

He further stated that with Akpabio as senate president, the upper chamber of the country’s legislative arm was bound to experience peace and unity as the new senate president is a bridge builder and a man of vast experience having served as a two-term Governor and a minority leader on the senate in the 8^th senate.

“As a layer, two-term Governor and as one a minority leader in the 8^th senate It is my firm belief that he will surly hold the senate together in unity and function effectively for the benefit of Nigerians”, he said.

While commending the senators for making possible the victory of Senator Akpabio Possible through their votes, Dr, Ndem also expressed confidence that the senate under him would build cooperation with the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led executive to ensure that the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu achieved for the good of all Nigerians.

 

   has called on all other contenders for the Senate   to close ranks with Senator Godswill Akpabio and unite in support of his emergence as president of the Nigerian Senate in the 10th National Assembly.
In a chat with our correspondent in Asaba, he stated that Nigeria as a country and its citizens at this critical time of its national life was in need of tried, tested, and proven leaders with experience who would man critical sectors at all levels of government.
While saying his experience; both as a two-term Governor and a senator was unparalleled, he said support for Akpabio’s senate presidency bid by the senators would be in line with President Asiwaju’s philosophy of getting the right and the very best persons to get the jobs done.
Dr. Ndem, a certified Podiatric surgeon, stated that 69 out of the 109 Senators-Elect have endorsed Akpabio for the seat and predicted that in the next coming days, the number of his supporters in the Senate would increase to 85 or 86.
Ndem has described the distinguished senator Godswill Akpabio as a rare gift to the Nigerian senate as he made reference to the current race for the top job at the senate, noting that the leadership qualities of the former governor of Akwa Ibom State, who is the top contender, for the Senate Presidency and his experience; both as a two-term Governor and a senator who broke the jinx of becoming a principal officer in the 8th senate as a first timer was unparalleled.
He, therefore, called on all other contenders to close ranks with Senator Akpabio who served as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs in the immediate past administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to unite in support of his emergence as president of the Nigerian Senate in the 10th National Assembly.
Speaking further, Ndem an ardent supporter of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, pointed out that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a man that is gifted in harnessing the best human resources to execute jobs, and noted that support for Senator Godswill Akpabio’s senate presidency bid by the senators would be in line with Asiwaju’s philosophy of getting the right and the very best persons to get jobs done.
